
Women's Golf Finishes 13th In Legends Shootout

Franklin, Ind. - The University of Louisville women's golf finished in 13th out of 19 teams at the Legends Shootout in Franklin, Ind. The field included 14 teams ranked in the top-100 of the Golfweek/Sagarin ratings, including the Cardinals.
No. 7 Michigan won the event with a score of 877. Wisconsin finished second, just one stroke off the lead with a score of 878 and Kent State finished third with a score of 885. The Cards shot a 319 today to finish with a score of 924.
"We did not execute very well today," said head coach Kelly Meyers. "Now we just need to work on some things and prepare for Beacon Woods this weekend."
The top finisher for the Cardinals was junior Cindy Pasechnik at 24th with a score of 227. Michigan's Kim Benedict and Kent State's Martina Gillen won medalist honors with a score of 212.
Junior Jessica Kell finished with a score of 230. Sophomore Ali Wright finished with a score of 236 and Meghan Little finished with a score of 237. Junior Erin Bell shot a team low 79 today to finish with a score of 239.
The Cardinals will travel to Tampa this weekend to compete in the Beacon Woods Invitational.
