Louisville Head Coach Denny Crum
"The biggest problem I think that we had tonight was we did a poor job defensively, especially on their guards. They did a lot better job defensively on our guards. Reece (Gaines) got in foul trouble and makes two careless fouls at the beginning and we were playing with subs, which hurts us because we aren't that deep. That was the best game for Rashad (Brooks) since he has been here at Louisville. He limited his mistakes, and when he does that, he plays pretty good. He's the only one of guards that played up to or better than his ability. When you give their starting guards 51 points, that's the game in a nutshell."
(on Steve Logan) "Logan made them from everywhere and when you're not in his face, he's going to hurt you. You have to give him credit when he made them from way outside. He made his open shots."
Cincinnati Head Coach Bob Huggins
"We have a tendancy to overhandle it a little bit. We just gave them too many open looks early. They make their open shots. Our post guys did a nice job of screening and a good job of spreading out the defense."
(on having Satterfield and Logan playing point guard) "We have asked them to make a lot of changes. We have taken him (Logan) off the ball and he has some different responsibilities. We want Logan to have the ball just as much as Satterfield. That is one of the major changes we wanted to make coming out of the Marquette game."
(on Louisville) "They made shots early. I told our guys that once he (Crum) gets (Erik) Brown and (Muhammed) Lasege acclimated and gets them in the flow, they will be a good team. I don't want to play them in the conference tournament here in March."
