Field Hockey Falls to Central Michigan

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. - The University of Louisville field hockey team dropped a 3-1 decision to Central Michigan on Friday at Central Michigan.
The Chippewas opened the scoring just 1:20 into the game on a Jocelyn Gates goal. Central Michigan's Melissa Lazarevski scored off of an assist from Maria Neiswender with 20:25 remaining in the first half to give the Chippewas a 2-0 halftime lead.
Susan Sattazahn pulled the Cardinals within one, when she connected on an assist from Pip Sanders with 27:30 remaining in the second half to make the score 2-1.
Neiswender scored an unassisted insurance goal with 9:45 remaining in the game to give Central Michigan the 3-1 win. The Chippewas improve to 5-3, 2-1 MAC.
U of L (6-4, 1-2 MAC) will travel to Muncie, Ind. to face Ball State on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
