Redman Named C-USA Offensive Player of the Week

CHICAGO - Louisville quarterback and Heisman Trophy hopeful Chris Redman was named Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week. Redman received the honor after leading the Cardinals to an impressive 56-28 victory over Kentucky on Saturday.
Redman opened the season with a highly efficient 30 of 40 showing for 324 yards and five touchdowns without an interception against Kentucky. His numbers were even more impressive on third and fourth downs, completing nine of 10 passes for 115 yards and two scores.
Redman earned Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week honors four times last season, becoming the first player in league history to accomplish the feat.
