LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) announced its Burger King Coaches' All-America team this afternoon with University of Louisville tight end Ibn Green holding down the tight end position.
Green, who caught more passes in a career than any other NCAA I-A tight end in history, is in Orlando, Fla. with 24 other honorees to take part in tonight's ESPN / Home Depot College Football Awards Show. The program will air live at 5:00 p.m. ET and rebroadcast on ESPN2 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
A graduate of local Male High School, Green closed his college career catching a career-high 60 passes for more than 600 yards and eight touchdowns as the Cardinals posted a 7-4 mark. Green will rejoin his teammates Friday for bowl practice.
For his career, Green is the only tight end in major college football history to catch more than 200 passes and is the U of L recordholder with 33 touchdown grabs.
