Field Hockey Falls to Miami

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Miami used two goals off the stick of freshman Angela Snedden to defeat the University of Louisville.
Miami opened the scoring at the 24:52 mark of the first half as Snedden slammed a penalty shot passed Cardinal goalkeeper Christy Hershey. Hershey entered the game first in the MAC in saves (113) and second in goals against average (1.25).
Louisville fought back and knotted the score at 1-1 as Lainey Habeeb snuck a corner shot passed Marie Vaughn Keri Beckhorn and Pip Sanders assisted on the goal.
After Miami and Louisville exchanged shot after shot, Snedden rebounded a Beth Young shot and struck the back of the goal with 15:28 to go in the game.
Defensively for Miami, Vaughn finished the game with seven saves and did not allow a goal in the second half.
Louisville (10-7, 3-5) will play host to Radford on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at Trager Stadium.
