
Field Hockey Defeats Southwest Missouri

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville field hockey team defeated Southwest Missouri State 2-0 on Wednesday at St. Louis.
Louisville sophomore Keri Beckhorn scored her eighth goal of the season nine minutes into the game to put the Cards ahead 1-0 at halftime.
Freshman Elisa Eshelman connected on a rebound from the goalie's pads with 10:35 remaining in the game to give U of L an insurance goal.
Louisville goalie freshman Christy Hershey collected four saves en route to her fifth shutout of the season. Southwest Missouri goalie Monnie Elzy recorded three saves in the game. The Bears fall to 8-9, (4-1 NorPac).
U of L (10-6, 3-4) will travel to Oxford, Ohio to take on Mid-American Conference opponent Miami University on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
