The Marshall Center serves as the strength and conditioning facility for all of the University of Louisville’s Olympic sports. A two-tiered venue, the bottom floor is home to 7,000-square feet of weight and strength training, while the top contains over 1,000-square feet of cardio training equipment, four lifting racks, and an office/meeting space for the Sports Performance staff.
Furnished with 16 full-cage lifting racks, a four-lane turf area, dual-action pulley systems and more, the Marshall Center can accommodate approximately 70 athletes at one time on the main floor alone. This large, versatile space allows for multiple training sessions to occur simultaneously, lending itself to building stronger community between and across sports teams. It is also home to a Gatorade Fueling Station, which is stocked with dozens of food items strategically selected to meet the student-athletes' nutritional needs following their training sessions.
Built in August 2008 as part of an expansion of Trager Field Hockey Complex in Owsley B. Frazier Cardinal Park, the Marshall Center is located conveniently with respect to several sports' competition venues including L&N Federal Credit Union Arena (volleyball), Ulmer Stadium (softball), Cardinal Track and Soccer Stadium, and the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
