Continued her stellar play, earning Third Team All-BIG EAST and Second Team All-Region. Her play in the postseason allowed her to become the first Cardinal in school history to be named to the BIG EAST All-Tournament team, and just the second to be bestowed postseason honors. Helped the team to the Boilermaker Challenge Cup title, and was named to the All-Tournament team. Made the AD Honor Roll, Dean's List and was a Red and Black Scholar.
2006: After overcoming an early season injury and playing just portions of the first two matches, she played every minute of the final 18 games helping anchor one of the stingiest defenses in Cardinal history. Made the AD Honor Roll, Dean's List and was a BIG EAST Academic All-Star.
2005: Another freshman who jumped into the starting lineup and never left, starting all 19 games for the Cards in her first season and leading the team in minutes while never leaving the pitch. Picked up an assist in her second game as a collegian, setting up Laura Walker in win over Miami (8/28). Tallied the only assist on Jamie Craft's game winner over Cincinnati (9/15). Was a Red and Black Scholar Athlete and a member of the AD Honor Roll.
High School: A four-year letterwinner as a defender for the Eagles, Mello was twice named to the All-City team as well as earning All-State and NSCAA/adidas All-Region honors her senior year.
