As a senior (2019): Team co-captain... Played in three games.
As a junior (2018): Team co-captain... Played in 17 games... Part of the Cardinals’ defense which produced five shutouts and a 1.27 team goals-against average... Named to the NFHCA National Academic Team.
As a sophomore (2017): Played in six games... Named to ACC Academic Honor Roll... NFHCA National Academic Squad member.
As a freshman (2016): Named to NFHCA National Academic Squad… Selected to ACC Academic Honor Roll... Gained experience in the fall and spring seasons.
In high school/club: Three-year starter for Villa Duchesne High School… Helped lead her high school team to the state championship game in 2013 and 2015… Registered 31 goals and 32 assists throughout her career… Ranked in the top 10 in the state in both categories her junior and senior seasons. The three-time all-conference first team selection earned Post-Dispatch All-Metro and senior all-star honors in 2015… Played for Aim Field Hockey Club Team…Led the Under-19 squad, in scoring en route to the 2015 Midwest Tournament semifinals, notching 12 goals and dishing out 11 assists… Helped lead Aim to national finishes of fourth (2013), ninth (2014) and 12th (2015).
Personal: Full name is Isabella Leeker… Nickname is Bella… Born March 10, 1998… Daughter of Mark and Mary Catherine… Has three siblings: Caroline, Grace and Anthony… Carrying a double-major in finance and marketing with a minor in entrepreneurship… Post college ambition is to work with Teach for America and help close the game of education… Greatest challenge overcome has been learning to handle stress and being the best teammate and friend… Chose Louisville because she loved everything about it… She is inspired by Todd Gurley of the St. Louis Rams – whom she has also met… Hobbies include archery – she started the Archery Club at her high school.
