
Kroon Earns Arthur Ashe Jr. Scholar Award for Field Hockey

Tatum Kroon is one of 35 athletes to win the award
FAIRFAX, Va. – The University of Louisville's Tatum Kroon has been the 2026 Arthur Ashe Jr. Scholar Award winner for Field Hockey as announced by The EDU Ledger.

She is one of 35 student-athletes who earned the award for their respective sports. The 2026 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholars have maintained at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, are at least sophomores academically, and participate in community service.Â

Kroon, who hails from Den Bosch, The Netherlands, was a significant contributor for the Cardinals throughout her career. The 2025 team co-captain helped anchor the defense and tallied seven assists and three defensive saves while helping Louisville record 15 defensive shutouts during her time at UofL.

The biology major is a four-time All-ACC Academic Team and NFHCA Academic squad member. She received her bachelor's degree in May 2026.
