April 08, 2026 | Football, Academic Services
IRVING, Texas – Seven University of Louisville football players were named to the 2026 National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society.
Wide receiver Chris Bell, long snapper Shai Kochav, defensive tackle Rene Konga, tight end Nate Kurisky, quarterback Miller Moss, center Pete Nygra,
and linebacker were named to this prestigious team.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Hampshire Honor Society recognized the largest class in its history this year, with the ACC represented by honorees from all 17 football-playing member institutions.
The ACC's commitment to excellence in the classroom remains a defining hallmark of the league. Over the 20-year history of the Hampshire Honor Society (2007-26), the ACC ranks third among all FBS conferences in total honorees. Individually, Duke (95), California (90) and Virginia (77) all rank among the top 10 nationally in all-time selections, while SMU stands as one of just 23 programs nationwide to have had at least one honoree in every year of the program.
Virginia paced the conference in this year's 2026 Class with 19 selections, followed by Stanford (11) and Duke (10). Notably, 11 ACC programs placed seven or more student-athletes on this year's list.
The NFF Hampshire Honor Society recognizes college football players who have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher throughout their collegiate careers, further illustrating the ACC's ability to develop student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom.
The 2026 class includes a record 2,596 players from 365 colleges and universities. Since 2007, the program has recognized 23,568 student-athletes from 691 schools, demonstrating sustained academic performance across the game.
Members are nominated by their respective schools and must meet the following criteria:
