
Spirit Groups Complete Competition at NCA&NDA Collegiate National Championships

Daytona Beach, Fla. --Â The University of Louisville spirit completed the 2026 NCA/NDA Collegiate National Championships at the Daytona Beach Bandshell.

The highlight of the competition was when the Cardinals' All-Girl cheer squad won its 22nd national championship and the 12th in a row for the Cardinals. The All-Girl squad scored a 95.8959 for the win, beating out runner-up Kennesaw State (95.8417) and Clemson (93.9042).

In the All Girl Grand Finale, where the champions in each division compete against each other, the Cardinals (93.95) were third behind winner New Hampshire (94.9) and Oklahoma Baptist (94.6333).
Louisville placed second in the Division IA Large Co-ed Division with the Cards finishing with 93.775 points just behind winner Texas Tech's 94.225 points and ahead of third place Oklahoma State's 93.5042.

In other competition, the IA Small Co-Ed squad finished eighth. The Stunt team of Jada Hortness and Trey Elliott were fourth. The All-Girl Stunt team of Meghan Podraza, Arielle Lindsey , Tsugami Takeuchi and T'laya Bates was sixth. Â

In the dance division, the Ladybirds were fourth in the Hip Hop finals, scoring 93.7429. Brigham Young (96.8857) took top honors followed by West Virginia (94.3429) and Ohio State (94.0286).

The Ladybirds were third in the IA Team Performance with 92.7 points. Sam Houston State won the division with a 94.275, followed by East Carolina's 92.80.
