Louisville Adds Preston Taylor to 2026-27 Roster

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville men's tennis head coach Rodrigo da Silva has announced that Preston Taylor will be joining the Cardinals squad in the 2026-27 season.Â
"Cannot wait to get to work with Preston," said Rodrigo da Silva. "He has a lot of potential, and he is very hungry to get better. Looking forward to taking his tennis to new levels."
Taylor is a native of Romford, England and has developed his skills in the competitive British junior tennis system. He has competed in both ITF-level events and European tournaments during his junior career.
According to Tennis Recruiting Network, he is ranked at No. 706 in the ITF Junior rankings, with a career-high rating of No. 670 on Oct. 6, 2025.Â
He holds a 19-9 record in ITF-sanctioned events with a 1-0 tally against five-star players rated by TRN.Â
He most notably won the singles title at ITF Junior J30 Newport in 2025 and was the runner-up at ITF Junior J30 Manchester also in 2025.Â
