The Cardinals game got moved to Saturday due to impending weather
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Cardinals fans will have to wait one less day to see the Louisville women's basketball team play as they are set to host Boston College on Saturday, January 24 at the KFC Yum! Center. The game was moved up one day due to the impending weather expected over the weekend. The Cardinals and Eagles will square off at 11 a.m. ET and will be streamed on ACC Network Extra.
The Cards are back at home for a quick game as they are in a stretch of four of five games out on the road. Louisville is coming off an impressive two-game road trip where they picked up wins at No. 23/22 Notre Dame and NC State. They became the first team in conference history to win road games at Notre Dame and at NC State in the same week. They are just one of two teams all-time to win at Notre Dame and at NC State in the same season and it is the second time the Cards have done it (2019-20).
Imari Berry had the best game of her career in the overtime win over NC State on Sunday. She scored a career-high 33 points and had 12 rebounds coming off the bench, including the last five points of regulation to force overtime. She is just the third ACC player this century to have 30 or more points and 10 or more rebounds off the bench in a conference game. Berry was named ACC Player of the Week after her performances against Notre Dame and NC State.
Louisville is riding an 11-game winning streak into Saturday's game, its longest since the 2021-22 season. Over this streak, the Cardinals have gotten contributions from a number of players. Seven different players have led the team in scoring, five different players have led the team in rebounding and six different players have led the team in assists over the winning streak.
