Cards Return Home for Midweek Doubleheader

LOUISVILLE, Ky.- After sweeping its doubleheader against Northwestern and Chicago State over the weekend, the University of Louisville men's tennis team looks to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Butler Bulldogs and Xavier Musketeers.Â
The Cards' first match will be against Butler on Wednesday with first serve schedule for 12 p.m. This will be followed by a match against Xavier set to begin at 5 p.m.Â
Louisville (4-1, 0-0 ACC) enters these matchups with momentum having swept their first two doubleheaders to open the year. UofL will work to continue that streak on Wednesday with another doubleheader on the horizon set for Sunday afternoon.Â
The ITA ranks Cardinal players Walid Ahouda and Hamza El Amine at No. 68 and No. 122, respectively, in singles. The two juniors are also ranked as a pair in doubles at No. 58 along with Andre' Steinbach and Matei Onofrei coming in at No. 21, the highest ranking for a Louisville tandem since 2024. Â
