Curry tabbed to First Team All-ACC, Roberts Second Team All-ACC and All-Freshman Team
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Atlantic Coast Conference announced its end of season awards Tuesday evening and the Cardinals had two representatives earn league-wide honors. Senior guard Jayda Curry was named First Team All-ACC while freshman guard Tajianna Roberts was named Second Team All-ACC and to the All-Freshman Team.
Curry leads the Cards in scoring with 13.4 points per game over the entire season and has a team-best 14.4 points per game in ACC play. She has scored in double figures in 20 of her 25 games this season and has led the team in scoring eight times. In ACC play, Curry has scored 10 or more points in 15 of the 18 league games.
Over the past six games, Curry has averaged 18.7 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. She has led the team in scoring in four of those six games and all four of those games were against ranked opponents. She scored a season-high 24 points, the most of any Louisville player this season, in the road win over No. 11 Duke. Curry also tallied her first double-double in a Louisville uniform in the win over Clemson.
Roberts has been one of the most consistent scorers for the Cardinals this season. She leads the team with 23 double-digit scoring games and is second on the team with 13.2 points per game. She was named ACC Rookie of the Week five times during the season and is just one of two freshmen to be named on an All-ACC team.
Roberts has started every game for the Cardinals this season. She has a team-best four 20-point games this season and leads the team with 1.8 steals per game. Two of the 20-point outings came against ACC opponents and her first career double-double (17 points, 10 rebounds) came in the road win over No. 21/23 Florida State.
Curry, Roberts and the Cardinals will be back in action this week as the 2025 Ally ACC Women's Basketball Tournament begins in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Cardinals are the No. 6 seed and will start tournament play on Thursday, March 6. Louisville will face the winner of No. 11 seed Stanford and No. 14 seed Clemson Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ACC Network.
