Cards Headed to the Bush's Boca Raton Bowl of Beans

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - . Â The University of Louisville has accepted an invitation to play in the Bush's Boca Raton Bowl of Beans and will meet Toledo in Boca Raton, Fla., on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025.
Kickoff from Flagler Credit Union Stadium is set for 2 p.m. and the game will be televised live by ESPN. The meeting on the gridiron between the Cardinals  (8-4) and the Rockets (8-4) will be the ninth match-up all-time and the first since 1981. The Cards hold a 5-3 series advantage over the Rockets.
The Cardinals head into the postseason at 8-4, 4-4 in the Atlantic Coast Conference after closing the season with a 41-0 shutout win over Kentucky on Nov. 29 at L&N Stadium. The Cardinals held the Wildcats to 140 yards of total offense as the Cardinals recorded their fourth shutout over the last three seasons.
Louisville's defense heads into the bowl season ranking in the top 20 in total defense, yielding an average of 300.3 yards per game and are 15th in the country with 14 interceptions.

The Cardinals are allowing just 21.1 points per game and are in the top 25 against the run by allowing just 109.8 yards per game. Defensive end Clev Lubin, a third team All-Atlantic Coast Conference performer, ranks 32nd nationally with 7.0 sacks and Wes Bailey has posted 6.0 sacks. Second team All-ACC defensive lineman Rene Konga has contributed 29 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

Offensively, the Cardinals have been ravaged by injuries over the last three games, losing all three starting running backs and first-team All-ACC wide receiver Chris Bell, who recorded 72 receptions for 917 yards and six scores before suffering a season-ending injury after the SMU loss.

Quarterback Miller Moss has been the one constant on offense, throwing for 2,526 yards and 14 touchdowns this season while also leading the squad with nine rushing scores. The USC transfer had four multiple touchdown games, including three in wins over Pittsburgh and Kentucky.

Isaac Brown has missed the last four games with an injury but continues to lead the team ion rushing with 782 yards and five touchdowns and Keyjuan Brown, who also missed the last two games, is second on the team with 592 yards and six touchdowns.
Louisville is making its 28th appearance in the postseason and holds a record of 13-13-1 in bowl games , having won three of its last five postseason contests. Brohm has guided the Cardinals to their third-straight bowl game, having split the two appearances since taking over in 2023. The Cardinals were defeated 42-28 in the 2023 Holiday Bowl and took home a 35-34 decision over Washington in last season's Sun Bowl.
