BOCA RATON, Fla. – The University of Louisville football team secured its ninth win of the season, defeating Toledo in the Bush's Boca Raton Bowl, 27-22. The Cards (9-4) have now notched their third consecutive nine-plus win season for the first time since 2012-2014.

The Cardinals' offense scored three second-half touchdowns to propel themselves over Toledo. Issac Brown broke loose for a 53-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter to put away the Rockets.

Running backs Isaac Brown and Keyjuan Brown returned to the UofL offense after both had missed significant time this season due to injury. Isaac Brown had 10 carries for 102 yards on the ground, finding the endzone twice. Keyjuan Brown toted the rock 15 times for 112 yards.

Miller Moss finished the day 16-of-24 passing for 153 yards and two touchdowns. Receiver Caullin Lacy hauled in six catches for 88 yards. Both Treyshun Hurry and Antonio Meeks had a touchdown reception each.

Louisville's defense was led by defensive backs Corey Gordon and JoJo Evans Jr., who recorded eight tackles apiece. Defensive lineman Clev Lubin was disruptive in the backfield, registering 1.5 sacks. The Cards defensive unit had a total of 10 tackles for loss and 4 sacks.

Louisville Head Coach Jeff Brohm had this to say after the game:
"Proud of our football team to hang in there and find a way to win. Thought we got a little stale there in the second quarter, came out in the second half and found a way to go up 21-3. I thought we were somewhat in control and then they started to drive the ball and got some scores on us and made the game close. Offensively we did better in the second half controlling the ball and running the football, but give them credit they fought hard and fought until the end and made it a close game. We've had games like this all year long so I'm proud of our guys, staying together and paying til the end, finding a way to win and that is the most important thing."
