Cards Earn NFCA Academic Recognition

Thirteen Cardinals named Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar Athletes
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville softball program earned Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Academic Team honors while 13 student-athletes were named All-America Scholar Athletes as announced by the organization.
The Team Award recognized programs with a combined GPA of 3.0 or better while the Scholar-Athlete award honors student-athletes who achieved a 3.5 or better GPA during the 2023-24 academic year.
The Louisville honorees include: Ally Alexander, Sam Booe, Mia Forsythe, Kiley Goff, Maddi Grant, Daisy Hess, Char Lorenz, Easton Lotus, Chelsea Mack, Bailee Richardson, Ava Venturelli, Madison "Pickle" Winkler, Alyssa Zabala
The Louisville softball program continued its academic success in the 2024 spring semester with a 3.437 team grade point average, marking the program's 38th straight semester with a collective GPA of 3.0 or higher - a streak dating back to the fall of 2005. The Cardinals also achieved some outstanding individual accomplishments with three student-athletes achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA. Additionally, 19 softball student-athletes were named to the Athletic Director's honor roll after posting a mark of 3.0 or better.
