Cardinals Place 13 on All-ACC Softball Academic Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The University of Louisville softball team placed 13 student-athletes on the All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Team as announced by the league office Thursday.

Ally Alexander, Sam Booe, Daisy Hess, Gabby Holloway, Vanessa Miller, Madison "Pickle" Winkler and Alyssa Zabala earn the honor for the second time while Mia Forsythe, Kiley Goff, Maddi Grant, Chelsea Mack, Bailee Richardson and Katie Thatcher take home their first ACC Academic Team nod.

Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contests and 20 percent of their team's contests as a pitcher.
