Women’s Basketball Places Seven on All-ACC Academic Team

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Seven University of Louisville women's basketball student-athletes were named to the 2024 All-ACC Academic Team, the conference announced on Thursday.
Louisville players represented on the team are Jayda Curry (sport administration), Nyla Harris (communication), Elif Istanbulluoglu (communication), Eylia Love (psychology), Merissah Russell (exercise science), Sydney Taylor (public health training) and Alexia Mobley (sport administration).
This past fall semester, the Cards registered a 3.35 team GPA. They had 11 student-athletes who earned AD Honor Roll status, which is a 3.0 GPA or higher in the semester. 10 student-athletes earned Red and Black scholar status, which is a 3.25 GPA or higher in the semester. One student-athlete had a perfect 4.0 GPA in the fall semester.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.
