
Cardinals in 10th After Second Round of Moon Golf Invitational

Individual Millie Cottrell carded the best score of 73 for the Cards on Monday
MELBOURNE, Fla. — The Louisville women's golf team is in 10th place after the second round of the Moon Golf Invitational at the Suntree Golf Club. The Cardinals were back on the course Monday after the first round was moved up to Saturday due to the anticipated weather on Sunday. Conditions on Monday led to higher scores as none of the 17-team field finished their team round under par on the day. The Cardinals are 16-over-par 592 after the first two rounds.
Hana Ryskova and Millie Cottrell are both the leaders for the Cards after the second round. Ryskova shot a 5-over-par 77 but is at 3-over-par and tied for 24th after the first 36 holes of play. Cottrell carded a team-best 1-over-par 73 on the day to also find herself at 3-over-par and tied for 24th. Cottrell is one of three Cardinals competing as individuals in the tournament this week.
Rylee Suttor and Gabbi Bentancourt are both one shot behind Ryskova and Cottrell at 4-over-par and are tied for 31st overall. Bentancourt shot a 3-over-par 75 and Suttor carded a 4-over-par 76 in the second round on Monday.
One shot behind Suttor is Carmen Griffiths at 5-over-par and tied for 36th. Griffiths shot a 6-over-par 78 in the second round. Rounding out the team scoring is Beatriz Barrios, who is tied for 84th overall at 14-over-par.
The other Cardinals competing as individuals are Carly Haines and Molly Lyne. Haines is tied for 84th overall with Barrios at 14-over-par. Lyne is 89th overall at 19-over-par through the first two rounds.
