Infielder Bailee Richardson will join the Cardinals as a graduate transfer from Georgia State
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville softball coach Holly Aprile has announced that Bailee Richardson will join the Cardinals as a graduate transfer after four seasons at Georgia State.

Richardson, who hails from Locust Grove, Ga., was a four-year starter for the Panthers and carried a .310 career batting average, while tallying 29 home runs, 25 doubles, 107 RBIs and 89 runs scored throughout her time in Atlanta. Last season, the infielder led Georgia State with 33 RBIs, eight doubles and nine home runs along with a .551 slugging percentage and was a perfect 7-for-7 in stolen bases.

She earned her bachelor's degree in sport administration in May 2023 and was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team.

Prior to her collegiate career, Richardson was a standout athlete at Locust Grove High School, helping the Lady Wildcats win back-to-back state and regional titles in 2017 and 2018. The 2018 Defensive Player of the Year and 4-5A Region Player of the Year was tabbed the Offensive Player of the Year in 2016. She also played for the top-ranked East Cobb Bullets Gold Schnute.
