
Louisville Athletics Places 510 on Athletic Director’s Honor Roll

LOUISVILLE, Ky. –University of Louisville student-athletes continue to compete on a high level in the classroom as the Cardinals turned in another outstanding semester in the classroom this spring with 510 placed on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll. The honor roll recognizes student-athletes with at least a 3.0 grade point average for the semester.
All UofL student athletes combined to produce an average GPA of 3.0 or better for the 25th straight semester. The overall grade point average posted by student-athletes was an impressive 3.327 for 2023 spring semester.
In addition, 22 of the 23 teams earned a 3.0 grade point average or better while 96 student-athletes achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the spring semester.
Field hockey led department, posting a 3.819 team GPA during the spring, with baseball holding the highest team GPA of 3.449 on the men's side. The women's track and field program had 13 student-athletes posting a perfect 4.0 on the women's side while the women's swimming and diving squad added 11 and women's soccer had 10.
Overall, 111 student-athletes achieved their degrees for the entire 2022-23 school year, including 96 graduates during the spring semester.
Ten University of Louisville athletic teams posted a perfect score in the most recent single-year Academic Progress Rate (APR) data released by the NCAA. The 10 sports with a perfect 1,000 APR score for the most recent 2021-22 data include men's basketball, women's basketball, men's cross country, women's golf, men's golf, women's tennis, men's tennis, women's lacrosse, softball and volleyball.
