Louisville picks up second straight ACC win
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville men's tennis team defeated Boston College 7-0 in an Atlantic Coast Conference match at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center Friday afternoon.

"It was a really clean win for us today," said assistant coach Mario Rincon. "We played really good doubles - one, two, and three looked very solid. We were ready in the singles and got off to a really good start. Our guys were very focused and it was a great day for us."

The No. 35-ranked Cards (12-8, 3-6 ACC) grabbed the doubles point to start the match with wins on courts two and three. Natan Rodrigues and Sergio Hernandez teamed to beat Will Kasten and Anesh Jayasundera 6-0 at the No. 3 spot to give Louisville the early edge while Fabien Salle and Matthew Fung secured the point with a 6-3 win over Mason Fung and Jake Vassel at No. 2.

In singles, Salle, No. 55 in the ITA singles rankings, quickly extend Louisville's lead with his 6-0, 6-1 victory over Matt Campbell at the three-spot. Fung followed with a 6-1, 6-1 decision against Vassel at the five-spot. The match was decided on court one, where No. 76 Rodrigues defeated Max Motlagh 6-3, 6-2. Moments later, Hernandez beat Mai Gao 6-3, 6-1 at No. 4.

No. 31 Etienne Donnet's 6-3, 6-4 win over Juan Jose Bianchi made the score 6-0 and Will Mayew completed the win on court six where he prevailed against Connor McDonald 4-6, 6-1, 6-2. Â Â

Following today's match, UofL will go back on the road to face No. 5 Michigan Sunday at 12 p.m.
