Ladybirds Coach Sheryl Knight Wins Louisville Visual Arts Award

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The University of Louisville Ladybird coach Sheryl Knight has been named the Community Arts Champion Award winner by Louisville Visual Arts (LVA).
She will receive the award at a banquet on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 5:30 at the LVA Gallery.
Knight is the Head Coach of the 20-time National Champion University of Louisville Ladybird Dance Team and has been coaching the Ladybird Dance Team for over 20 years. Sheryl is a Professional choreographer who has choreographed over 80 national championship and world championship routines. Sheryl has coached dance teams on all levels from Junior high through college. Her choreography has helped clinch championships for teams on the Junior High, High School, College, and Studio All-Star levels. Sheryl continues to travel the country teaching master classes and training in all styles of dance. Sheryl also coaches the Louisville Male High school Dance Team.
About the LVA celebration
This is the sixth LVA Honors event. Drawing energy from the past, present, and future, the LVA Honors strengthen bonds between successive generations of artists, educators, and appreciative audiences. Recognizing educators and patrons alongside artists, the LVA Honors embrace the entire ecosystem of visual culture, every part of which enhances the prominence, quality, and purposes of Art in our visually vibrant city.
