Men's Tennis Adds Mid-Year Addition in Pena

Enrique Cerrato Pena signs NLI and will join Cardinals in January
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – UofL men's tennis announces the National Letter of Intent signing of Enrique Cerrato Pena, who will join the Cardinals' roster this coming January.
"We are super excited to add Enrique to our team this year," said head coach Rodrigo da Silva. "He has been playing and competing at the highest level, and he will bring a lot of experience to our roster."
Pena hails from Bogota, Colombia, and currently has an ATP singles ranking of 1475. Enrique was ranked as high as 85 in the junior world ranking.
His best ATP ranking has been as high as 1235 in June of this year. Pena has 10 professional wins in 2023 across the ITF, ATP and Davis Cup levels.
Pena has won numerous ITF championships across South America. He is the singles champion of J5 Bolivia; singles and doubles champion of J4 Ecuador; and singles and doubles champion of J3 Colombia. Pena was also a singles semifinalist of future Bolivia, doubles quarterfinals of future Colombia and singles round of 16 finalist of future Colombia.
