
Cardinals Excel in Classroom, Place 493 on Athletic Director’s Honor Roll

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville student-athletes excelled in the classroom once again during the fall semester, with 493 achieving Athletic Director's Honor Roll status. The honor roll recognizes student-athletes with at least a 3.0 grade point average for the semester.
UofL's student-athletes combined to produce a 3.240 GPA for the 2022 fall semester, marking the 24th straight semester with a department-wide GPA of 3.0 or better.
Red and Black Scholar honors were bestowed upon 412 student-athletes for achieving at least a 3.25 grade point average, while 89 student-athletes finished with a 4.0 GPA for the semester.
Field hockey led the way for Louisville's 23 sports, posting a team GPA of 3.810 during the fall. Baseball held the highest team GPA of UofL's men's teams at 3.470.
University of Louisville student-athletes achieved a department-record 92 percent Graduation Success Rate (GSR) in the latest report released by the NCAA in November.
Fifteen programs achieved a GSR of 90 or higher, while eight programs – baseball, men's basketball, men's golf, women's basketball, field hockey, women's golf, women's lacrosse and volleyball – recorded a perfect 100 mark.
