
Kennedy Leads Men's Golf at Sea Best Invitational

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Max Kennedy shot an even-par 140 to lead the University of Louisville men's golf team into a tie for fourth place after two rounds at the Sea Best Invitational at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., on Monday.
As a team, the Cardinals finished the two rounds at 16-over-par after firing rounds of 285-291=576 to sit in a tie with Jacksonville. No. 9 Florida leads the pack at 5-under-par, while North Florida is in second and Liberty is in third at 1-over-par and 11-over-par, respectively.
Playing on one of the most difficult courses in the nation, Kennedy opened the spring by shooting 68-72=140 to shot even-par to close the first day in a tie for seventh place. He was 3-under-par during his first nine holes before carding a 1-over-par on the back nine.
Sebastian Moss is tied for 21st place after shooting 71-72=143 for a one-day total of 3-over-par. Mads Roddick made his UofL debut by carding a 6-over-par 146 to end his rounds in a tie for 34th place.
Jiri Zuska, one of the nation's top performers, carded an 8-over 148 to tie for 42nd, while Andrew Tan rounded out the top five in a tie for 77th after his 11-over-par 151. Jackson Brimfield, who is playing as an individual, shot a 16-over-166.
The final round begins at 8 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
