
Kennedy Finishes Fifth at the Sea Best Invitational

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville men's golf teams shot an even-par 280 to finish in fourth place at the Sea Best Invitational at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., on Tuesday.
Posting the second-best round of the day, the Cardinals closed the tournament at 285-291-280=856 to finish at 16-over-par and just two shots behind third-place Liberty. Florida went wire-to-wire to win the tournament at 14-under-par, while North Florida was second at 9-over-par.
Max Kennedy posted his best overall finish of his by finishing in a tie for fifth place. The native of Dublin, Ireland, shot 68-72-67=207 to finish three shots off the lead. During the final round, Kennedy played a bogey-free round and recorded a trio of birdies.
Sebastian Moss shot an even-par third round of 70 to place in a tie for 17th place. The sophomore finished at 3-over-par after closing the tournament with 71-72-70=213.
Jiri Zuska who entered the day in a tie for 42nd place, responded with a 69 on Tuesday to end the two-day event by shooting 73-75-69=217. Mads Roddik finished in tie for 42nd place after shooting 73-73-75=221 and Andrew Tan rounded out the top five by finishing in a tie for 55th place after firing scores of 77-74-74=225.
Jackson Brimfield registered a final round of 71 to close the tournament in 74th place after carding 237.
The Cardinals return to the course on Feb. 20-22 at Prestige in LaQuinta, Calif.
