
Zuska Paces the Cards after the First Round at The Prestige

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Jiri Zuska fired 69 to lead the University of Louisville men's golf team to ninth place after the first round of The Prestige played at the Greg Norman Course at PGA West in LaQuinta, Calif. on Monday.
Collectively, the Cardinals stayed in the top 10 after shooting a 5-over-par 289 in the difficult 24-team field. Pepperdine is the leader after first-round action after shooting 279. Stanford is in second and TCU sits in third.
Second round action begins on Tuesday at 10:40 a.m. ET.
Zuska, a fifth-year senior, shot a 2-under-par to sit in a tie for ninth place overall after 18 holes. He fired a 3-under-par on the back nine with an eagle on No. 11.
Max Kennedy shot a 1-over-par 72 to stand in a tie for 37thplace, while Sebastian Moss and Mads Roddick are tied for 58thafter shooting a 3-over-par 74. Andrew Tan rounded out the Cards' top five after shooting a 4-over-par 75 to close his round in a tie for 69th.
