Griffiths Finishes Third Overall in Schooner Classic

NORMAN, Okla. – Sophomore Carmen Griffiths finished third overall in the Schooner Fall Classic over the weekend. She carded an 8-under-par 202 through three rounds of play with individual round scores of 68 (2-under-par), 65 (5-under-par), and 69 (1-under-par).
This marks Griffiths' career-best single round scores and tournament score. She also placed in the top five for the first time in career history. Her best finish came in last year's Olde Stone Invitational when she tied for 11th.
The Cardinals placed 12th overall, scoring 11-over-par 851. Gabbi Bentancourt was 1-over-par 211 and finished in a tie for 27th. Bentancourt finished with a career-high tournament score (211) and career-high single round scores (70-70-71).
The Cardinals will return to action in the Blessings Tournament on Oct. 3-5 in Fayetteville, Ark.
