
UofL Partners with Advance

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville has partnered with Advance, an industry leader in Name, Image and Likeness education, to further advance the school's NIL program including ongoing guidance on strategic development, evaluation of departmental initiatives as well as comprehensive educational support benefitting all internal and external UofL student-athletes.
"We are excited to partner with the University of Louisville in delivering advisory and protective education on NIL that will help student-athletes navigate the real-world opportunities and challenges presented by this new era of college sports, Luke Fedlam, Managing Partner and Founder, said.
"The University of Louisville athletic department strives to be "accountable for helping our students' become champions in competition and in life, "said Managing Partner and Founder Courtney Altemus. "We are honored to partner with them to help their student-athletes protect themselves with real-world education and tools they can apply now and for the rest of their lives.
Key aspects of the new partnership include customized educational workshops for student-athletes, coaches and staff focused on, among other issues, group licensing, marketing, branding, financial literacy and recruiting as well as engagement with internal and external constituents on NIL education. Additional deal components include guidance on partnership strategy, enhancement of departmental initiatives which serve to empower student-athletes, leveraging emerging opportunities, and development of innovative approaches for long-term success.
"Our partnership with Advance is our continued investment in equipping our student-athletes with the necessary skills to maximize their NIL opportunities," said Zach McKay, UofL's Director of NIL. "This partnership provides comprehensive NIL protective education in decision-making, due diligence, and finances."
