
Alex and Michael Wesbrooks Win Sixth Straight Father & Son Clay National Clay Court Title

University of Louisville men's tennis graduate senior Alex Wesbrooks and his father, Michael, captured their sixth straight United States Tennis Association (USTA) Father & Son Clay National Clay Court Championships at the Cincinnati Tennis Club in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 17.

After a bye in the round of 32, the top-seeded tandem tallied a trio of straight-set wins to advance to the Sunday's title match which was against the No. 2 seeded team of Christian Settles and Paul Settles. The Wesbrookses prevailed with scores of 7-6 (4) and 7-5 to claim their tournament-record sixth-straight title.

Alex Wesbrooks (Louisville, Ky./St. Xavier) recently completed his senior season at Louisville and had elected to return for a fifth-year in 2022-23. The Louisville native stood second on the team with 11 doubles wins and collected nine dual match doubles victories.
