Greenwood Signs With Florida Vibe

BRADENTON, Fla. – University of Louisville softball graduate Carmyn Greenwood will continue her softball career professionally after signing to play with the Florida Vibe.

Greenwood recently completed a stellar career at the University of Louisville, capping her time as a Cardinal with National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America third team honors. In 2022, the graduate senior led the Cardinals with a .400 batting average and paced the ACC with seven triples while standing second in the league with 70 hits and a 1.279 on base + slugging percentage. She also ranked third in the conference with 54 runs and stood fourth with a career-best 52 RBIs.

Additionally, Greenwood finished her final collegiate season with a career-high 14 home runs, including two grand slams. Louisville's leadoff hitter tallied a team-high 18 doubles and 23 multi-hit games while producing 14 multi-RBI games. She delivered five assists from left field on the season and was named the ACC Offensive Player of the Week on May 2.
The two-time all-ACC and NFCA All-Southeast Region selection finished her career at Louisville with a school-record .408 career batting average in the last three years after transferring from Auburn prior to the 2020 season. She ranks second on the program's all-time list with a .657 career slugging percentage and is fourth with a .453 on base percentage. Greenwood also stands among Louisville's top five leaders in single season batting average, hits, runs, home runs and total bases.

Located in Bradenton, Florida Vibe Athletics Inc, is the newest professional softball organization. With its announcement of its formation summer 2021, the Florida Vibe begins action on June 16, 2022. The independent team will consist of 16 athletes (invitation-only) who will work in conjunction with the Florida Gulf Coast League (FGCL).
