Cards Place Five on Softball All-ACC Academic Team

The University of Louisville placed five student-athletes on the Atlantic Coast Conference Softball All-Academic Team as announced by the league office today. Carmyn Greenwood, Korbe Otis, Taylor Roby, Jenna Servi and Kendall Smith represent the Cardinals among the league's top performers both in the classroom and on the field.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.

The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
This marks Greenwood's second straight All-ACC Academic Team nod. She was also a CoSIDA Academic All-District 2 selection and an NFCA Scholar Athlete (2021). She has also been named to the ACC Academic honor roll three times.

Greenwood (Birmingham, Ala.), graduated from UofL with a bachelors degree in marketing in 2021 and earned franchise management certificate in May 2022. The left fielder was a 2022 NFCA All-America third team selection and a two-time All-Southeast Region and All-ACC pick. In 2022, she led the team with a .400 batting average and standing first in the ACC with 70 hits, 54 runs, while ranking second with 52 RBIs. Greenwood also paced the team with 18 doubles and 23 multi-hit games. She was named ACC Player of the Week on May 2.

Otis (Littleton, Colo.) earned her first All-ACC Academic honor after finishing her freshman season with a perfect 4.0 GPA while majoring in biology. She was named to the ACC All-Freshmen Team after starting all 52 games in the outfield and standing second on the team with 31 runs and six stolen bases and third with 40 RBIs and a .289 batting average.

Roby (Mt. Washington, Ky.) takes home her first ACC Academic team honor. The right -handed pitcher/designated player earned All-ACC and NFCA All-Southeast Region honors after leading the team with a career-best 15 home runs – good for third in the ACC - and collected 15 wins in the circle. She also stood second on the team with a career-high 45 RBIs. The sport administration major is a three-time member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
Servi (Monterey, Calif.) earns her first ACC Academic Team award after producing career-best numbers with a .283 batting average, 34 hits 25 runs and 12 RBIs as Louisville's starting third baseman. Servi is a three-time ACC Academic Honor Roll selection while majoring in criminal justice.

Smith, (Bowling Green, Ky.), was also a CoSIDA Academic All-District 2 selection in 2022. The graduate transfer from Western Kentucky earned her undergraduate degree in Sport Management in 2021 and is currently pursuing her master's degree in sport administration. In 2022, she stood second on the team with a .309 batting average and third with 40 RBIs and nine home runs. Additionally, was second in the ACC with 15 runners caught stealing.
Smith was a 2019 NFCA All-Mideast Region selection and a two-time All-Conference USA team honoree (2019, 2021). The catcher was also a two-time Senior CLASS Award Top 30 candidate and an NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete.
