Cardinals Set for Sunshine State Invitational

SARASOTA, Fla. -- The University of Louisville rowing team will be back in action this weekend for their next event of the season, as they head to Sarasota to participate in the Sunshine State at Nathan Benderson Park.

The Cards will be joined by Central Florida, Miami, Stetson and Jacksonville. Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Louisville, Northeastern, Tulsa and Drexel will also line up on the water in Sarasota.

Friday's heats begin at 4 p.m. with the Second Varsity Four. The Varsity Four, Third Varsity Eight and Second Varsity Eight follow beginning at 4:10 p.m. The Varsity Eight rounds out the day at 5:20 p.m. Friday's results determine the progression to Saturday's finals.

Saturday's action begins at 8 a.m. with the petite final for the Varsity Eight.
