Ryskova and Griffin Sit in the Top 10 after One Round of the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Hana Ryskova and Kendall Griffin finished in the top 10 as the University of Louisville women's golf team placed seventh after the first round of the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic on Friday.
The Cardinals shot a 12-over-par 300 to close round one just seven shots off the overall lead. Wake Forest and Texas A&M are tied for first place at 5-over-par and Arkansas is in third place at 6-over-par. South Carolina finished in fourth and Alabama and USC are tied for fifth.
Ryskova was the lone Cardinal to shoot under par after firing a 1-under-par 71 to sit in a tie for fourth place after 18 holes – sitting just one shot off the lead. Polly Mack of Alabama, Julia Lopez-Ramirez of Mississippi State and Michaela Morad of USC are all tied for the overall lead.
Kendall Griffin is tied for sixth place after her even-par round of 72 and is only two shots off the pace. Carmen Griffiths is tied for 46th and Lauren Thibodeau is tied for 55th. Mairead Martin rounds out the top five by tying for 59th.
The Cardinals will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, teaming with South Carolina.
