Cardinals Place 23 on NFHCA National Academic Squad

BROCKPORT, N.Y. — The University of Louisville field hockey team continued its academic success with 23 student-athletes named to the 2021 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I National Academic Squad.

The Division I National Academic Squad program honors student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the 2021-22 academic year.

Seniors Alli Bitting, Erica Cooper, Mackenzie Karl, Sam Minrath, Camryn Pichea and Katie Schneider earned the honor for the fourth time.

The Cardinals finished the 2021 season ranked sixth in the National Field Hockey Coaches' poll after earning their 10th NCAA tournament bid. The Cardinals posted a 16-4 overall record, matching a school record for wins. Additionally, UofL won the 2021 ACC regular season title after compiling a program-best 6-0 record in league play.
