LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville men's tennis team defeated Indiana and Xavier, both by scores of 4-0 in a doubleheader on Saturday at the Bass Rudd Tennis Center. Louisville (7-4) pushes its win streak to four streak matches.

Louisville will play its fourth consecutive match at home when the Cardinals open ACC play against Clemson on Friday at 5 p.m.

Louisville 4, Indiana 0
The Cardinals and Hoosiers (4-5) played a tightly contested doubles which saw Louisville win on courts 1 and 3. Tin Chen and Sergio Hernandez won 6-1 on court 1 and Indiana responded with a 6-3 win on court 2. Natan Rodrigues and Matthew Fung outlasted Carson Haskins and Vikash Singh 7-5 to clinch the doubles point for Louisville.

In singles, Etienne Donnet defeated Haskins 6-2, 6-0 to give Louisville a 2-0 lead. Chen won 6-2, 6-3 on court 3 and David Mizrahi defeated Jagger Saylor 6-4, 6-3 to win the match for the Cardinals.

Donnet and Kyle Tang won 6-2 on court 3 and Alex Wesbrooks and Fung took the match 6-1 on court 1 to clinch the doubles point for Louisville. Rodrigues and Hernandez were leading 5-2 when their match was suspended.

In singles action, Hernandez defeated Charlie Temming 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 to improve his singles record to 9-0 on the season. Mizrahi added another singles point with a 6-1, 6-2 decision against Caden Kammerer. Rodrigues sealed the win for the Cardinals on court 4 where he bested Marco Pennelli 6-1, 6-1.

The Musketeers drop to 5-4 on the season.
