Cards Host the 2022 Moon Golf Invitational on Sunday

LOUISVILLE – The University of Louisville women's golf team plays its first tournament of the spring when the team hosts the 2022 Moon Golf Invitational Sunday in Melbourne, Florida.
The first stroke play of the spring, the Cardinals are playing hosts at the Suntree Country Club Classic Course. Play starts Sunday and the 54-hole event runs through Tuesday.
The Cardinals will feature a lineup of Lauren Thibodeau, Carmen Griffiths, Mairead Martin, Hana Ryskova and Kendall Griffin. Agustina Gomez-Cisterna, Gabbi Bentancourt, Molly Lyne and Carly Haines will take the course as individuals.
The Cardinals opened their spring in January in a match-play event against Kentucky.
The Cardinals will face one of their most difficult fields of the spring with five teams currently ranked in the top 10 of the Golfstat rankings this spring.
The field is made up of: #9 Alabama, #6 Arkansas, #17 Auburn, Augusta State, #15 Baylor, #19 Duke, #7 Florida, Florida State, #22 LSU, Miami, North Carolina, #3 South Carolina, UCF and #8 Virginia.
In the opening round on Sunday, Louisville will be paired with Auburn and South Carolina and will go off the first tee at 8:50 a.m. EST. Live scoring for the event can be found at Golfstat.com.
