Student-Athletes Connect With Employers at Annual Career Fair
October 25, 2022 | Beyond the Buzzer
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Student-athletes exercised their professional development skills at the Student-Athlete Career Fair on October 11. Hosted by Beyond the Buzzer, the annual Student-Athlete Career fair allowed student-athletes to make connections with potential employers and learn how to market themselves as young professionals.
Â
The Career Fair hosted 28 employers from various industries, including the healthcare field, accounting and finance, recreational sports, freight and shipping, law enforcement, and more. The diversity in career opportunities gave student-athletes a chance to expand their knowledge on different industries and careers and expand their professional network.
"This Fair is the best place for student-athletes to make those important connections with employers and start thinking about their future," said Adora Hicks, PhD., the Assistant Direct of Student-Athlete Development and the organizer of the Career Fair. "The Career Fair allows student-athletes to start career conversations so they have the best opportunities during and after their time at the University of Louisville."
Â
If you missed the Career Fair this fall, there are more ways to get involved with our student-athletes. To learn more about future engagement opportunities, please contact Adora Hicks, PhD. at adora@gocards.com to learn more.
