Cards Produce Impressive Results in the Classroom

The University of Louisville field hockey team completed an impressive 2021 season with a stellar performance in the classroom with a 3.768 team grade point average, leading all UofL teams. The Cardinals' fall academic result marks the 22nd straight semester with a collective GPA of 3.0 or above dating back to the 2011 spring semester.

Seven student-athletes posted a 4.0 GPA as Emilia Kaczmarczyk, Mackenzie Karl, Sam Minrath, Camryn Pichea, Aimee Plumb, Emma Kate Rosensteel and Minna Tremonti were named Dean's Scholars.
Additionally, 12 Cardinals were named to the Dean's List with a semester mark of 3.5 or better. The 2021 squad also boasts 23 players with cumulative GPA of 3.25 or better, earning Red & Black Scholar status while all 24 student-athletes were named to the Athletic Director's Honor roll with a 3.0 mark in the fall semester.

Fifth-year senior, ACC Defensive Player of the Year and three-time National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-American Alli Bitting earned her degree in sport administration in December.

The sixth-ranked Cardinals finished the 2021 season with a 16-4 overall record, matching a school record for wins Additionally, the Cardinals won the 2021 ACC regular season title after compiling a program-best 6-0 record in league play.
