
Alexander, Hampton Score in 2-0 Exhibition Win over Ball State

Louisville scored both of their goals in the second half.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Ravin Alexander and Mikayla Hampton scored second half goals as University of Louisville women's soccer defeated Ball State 2-0 in an exhibition on Saturday night.Â
Louisville and Ball State went into the locker room at half knotted at zero despite UofL outshooting BSU, 8-1.
The Cardinals got on the board in the 60th minute when Alexander got free and scored from the right side over the goalie's head to make it 1-0.
Twelve minutes later, Louisville made it 2-0 when Savina Zamborini found Hampton, who controlled it and delivered it to the left side of the goal.
Louisville kept Ball State at bay all night, limiting them to just five shots. Louisville finished with 21 shots and 11 on goal.
Gabby Kouzelos played all 90 minutes in the net and finished with one save.
With the final exhibition in the books, Louisville opens the regular season at Lynn Stadium on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. ET against Western Michigan.
