Louisville Earns No. 6 Seed in ACC Softball Championship, Will Face Third-Seeded Duke Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – The University of Louisville softball team has earned the No. 6 seed in the 2021 ACC Softball Championship and will take on third-seeded Duke Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in an ACC Network televised game.

Single game tickets are available at $5 for adults and $3 for youth. Admission is free for fans under two years old and ACC students with a valid college ID. All seating is general admission in the outfield grass berm and at a limited capacity. Once that capacity has been reached, no additional access will be allowed. Tickets may be purchased online here.

Clemson secured the No. 1 seed for the 2021 Atlantic Coast Conference Softball Championship, which begins Wednesday, May 12 at Don Dobina Field at Ulmer Stadium in Louisville, Kentucky, and will be hosted by Louisville.

The Tigers earned the top seed after winning the regular season championship with a 29-5 mark in league play. Clemson will play its first tournament game in the quarterfinals on Thursday at 11 a.m., when it takes on the winner of Wednesday's first-round clash between No. 9 Georgia Tech and No. 8 Syracuse.

The Yellow Jackets and the Orange will kick off the ACC Softball Championship with a 1 p.m. start, followed by No. 10 North Carolina vs. No. 7 NC State at 3:30 p.m.

No. 5 Notre Dame will face No. 4 Virginia Tech on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in quarterfinal action. Florida State earned the No. 2 seed and will play the winner of North Carolina and NC State on Thursday at 5 p.m.

The 2021 ACC Softball Championship will continue with Friday's semifinals at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., and will conclude with Saturday's championship game at noon.

ACC Network and ESPN2 will provide 18 hours of live coverage of the ACC Softball Championship. The first three rounds will be broadcast on ACC Network, and ESPN2 will carry the championship game, with studio breaks in between games.
