
Carmyn Greenwood, Taylor Roby Named to NFCA All-Southeast Region Teams

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville's Carmyn Greenwood and Taylor Roby have been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Southeast Region teams. Greenwood earned first team honors while Roby was named to the second team.
The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association's 10 regions with first, second and third-team selections. NFCA member head coaches from each respective region voted on the teams, and all student-athletes now become eligible for the 2021 NFCA Division I All-America squads which will be announced on Wednesday, June 2.
Greenwood, a redshirt senior outfielder from Birmingham, Ala., earns her first all-region honor after leading the Cardinals with a .430 batting average, 74 hits, nine doubles and 31 runs – all career bests. She also paced the team with 23 multi-hit games and stood second with 29 RBIs and 11 stolen bases. The all-ACC second team selection led the conference in hits and stood second in batting average.
Roby, a redshirt junior from Mt. Washington, Ky., takes home her first all-region honor after a career-best season in which she belted out a team-high 14 home runs and 43 RBIs a .697 slugging percentage and tallied 13 multi-RBI games. The first team all-ACC selection stands second in the league in RBI and third in home runs. She also led the Cardinals with a 2.96 ERA and 12 wins and 83 strikeouts in 165.2 innings of work.
