
Taylor Roby, Carmyn Greenwood Earn All-ACC Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The University of Louisville's Taylor Roby has been named to the All-ACC Softball first team while Carmyn Greenwood has earned all-conference second team honors in a vote by the league's 13 head coaches as announced on Tuesday.

Roby, a redshirt junior from Mt. Washington, Ky., (Bullitt East) earns her first all-ACC award after leading the league with 12 home runs and 32 RBIs against conference opponents. In 37 ACC games, her .718 slugging percentage stands third and she is ranked eighth with a .364 batting average. The right-handed pitcher also leads the way in the conference with 26 games started and 30 appearances in the circle and has tallied eight ACC wins.

Greenwood (Birmingham, Ala./Oak Mountain) also takes home her first all-conference honor this season. Against ACC competition, the Cardinals' left fielder registered a league-high 56 hits, and registered a.431 batting average, standing second in the conference. She leads the team with 24 runs and as driven in 23 for the Cardinals. The redshirt senior also ranks among the top 10 in the ACC in doubles (8) and on base percentage (.464) in league play.

The Cardinals earned the No. 6 seed in the 2021 ACC Softball Championship and will face third-seeded Duke in the quarterfinals Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Ulmer Stadium.
