Hartlage Equals School Record with Fourth All-League Selection
April 29, 2021 | Women's Golf
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville senior Lauren Hartlage was selected to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference women's golf team for the fourth time in her illustrious career, announced by the league on Thursday.
A fifth-year senior, Hartlage has been named to the All-ACC team in each of her four seasons with the Cardinals, making her the fourth player in program history to earn all-conference honors at least four times during a career. Hartlage joins Cindy LaCrosse (2006-09), Sara-Maude Juneau (2008-11), Laura Anderson (2008-11) as the only players in school history to earn all-league honors at least four times during their careers.
Due to the pandemic, all-league honors were not handed out last season.
The Elizabethtown, Ky., native leads the Cardinals with a 72.13 stroke average in 15 rounds this season, which ranks seventh in the ACC heading into postseason play. She has finished in the top 10 in two of the five tournaments this spring and holds the school record with 23 top-10 endings in her career.
Hartlage closed the regular season by tying for sixth place at the ACC Women's Golf Championships, shooting a 1-under-par 215, which tied for the best score in school history in that event. Olivia Cason shot a 1-under-par 215 during the 2017 championship.
Earlier this season, Hartlage was selected to play in the 2021 Augusta National Women's Amateur.
Hartlage and the Cardinals return to action on May 10-12 at the 2021 NCAA Louisville Regional. The Cardinals, who enter as the 12th seed, are hosting the event for the first time in school history.
