Cardinals Pair Will Begin Season Nationally Ranked

Verma, Di Palma earn spot at No. 31 in ITA rankings
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville women's tennis athletes Andrea Di Palma and Rhea Verma check in as the No. 31 ranked doubles pair in the initial Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division I National Rankings released this morning.
The pair is coming off a 9-8 dual record last spring in the No.1 doubles spot for the Cardinals, which included ranked wins over Boston College and Wichita State.
Verma recorded a team-high 14 wins in singles as a redshirt junior, including a five-match winning streak to end the season. Di Palma was a member of the 2021 All-ACC Third Team and finished the season nationally ranked in both singles and doubles.
Louisville opens their spring season on Jan. 21 when they host a double-header with Cincinnati at 11 p.m. ET and Marshall at 5 p.m. ET at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
